So...after 4 years of hardwork, I've finally completed my first ever romance book 'My Guardian Angel'. Started it with my friend @aweirdoonearth01 when we were just thirteen, now we're both seventeen, and whenever we read through it we feel nostalgic about it. I had never expected MGA to receive any sort of publicity, recognition much less any awards. It had been written merely because I loved that genre and the 'gentleman' trope. But you guys supported me so much, so many people randomly read it and supported me in award books, and I have received about 4 prized for it till now, three of them being first prizes.
As I end this book, I can't stop thanking you all for your immense support and help. No, of course it isn't ending - it has a sequel coming up in less than a week and that one's gonna be a mix of romance, mystery and thriller. It was meant to be part of the same book since it's just the continuation and not exactly a new plot, but then I figured that having two books with 40 something chapters will be more exciting than 100+ chapters in just one book. Besides, I can finally end my first book. 45 chapters over the course of 4 years...had it been some author who wasn't lazy like me, they could've finished it in 2 years or less. Now I'm gonna focus on the sequel where the plot takes place seven years later, and its blurb, cover etc. Exciting indeed!
June and Jasper have always been my most favorite characters of all time. Sure, the latter ends up being the villain, but the sequel might make you say otherwise. People may think from the blurb of MGA that it's the typical stockholm syndrome(falling in love with my rapist) trope, but trust me, even 13 year old me wasn't crazy enough to write about such a sensitive topic. So instead, the second story becomes a revenge-mystery thriller where money and power plays a big role. It will be releasing soon, guys!
