He did use it in one comic but he used it from Annual #2 to issue #40, where he used to warp reality to summon part of the Source Wall and manipulate the Source itself. And for when he “banished” it, he really did not banish it but split it to form the White Lantern Corps, he didn’t give it up, he wanted to but he decided to share it, so each White Lantern ring still had a piece of the Life Equation.
            
            Practically that was the whole point of Kyle Rayner vs Highfather. When Highfather took away Kyle’s ring, he also took away the Life Equation, and when Kyle got the ring back, it was 100% powerless because the Life Equation was still in Highfather, without the Life Equation, Kyle’s ring cannot literally function.
            
            Kyle already had the Life Equation when he became a White Lantern, him entering and exiting the Source taught him how to use it. He cannot relinquish the Life Equation because of he did, his ring would not work.

@DEMGSC1920  characters at peak yes. Doesn’t mean ALL their items.  Kyle as White Lantern is his peak and is the main reason for this matchup already as well.

@MLPFan001 that’s all up for Death Battle to decide. The scaling cannot be mathematical but cosmological, and wether is a 50/50 if they give Kyle the Life Equation though I think they will. They definitely mentioned they were gonna give Thor his Thorforce against Vegeta but because Thor was already much more powerful, there was no reason to do it, Sonic in all of his fights uses the Chaos Emeralds, they are not items he always carries but still decide to give it to him in his fights, Death Battle’s own memo is always peak vs peak, so they’ll probably give Kyle his Life Equation and Simon will have that Galactus giant form which seems to be bigger than galaxies or universes, not dure what they were

@Captain_Valkyrie not only his Idle Transfiguration. But also the  essential rule in JJK is that cursed spirits (like Mahito) cannot be killed without cursed energy. 
            
            Shigaraki has none of that, and while he's shown to be able to affect vestiges which act and appear spiritual in nature, it's possible Death Battle might not equalize them, which not only would mean Shiggy lacks the means of killing Mahito, but it also means the latter would have an easier time of bypassing his opponent's durability, since affecting souls is kinda his whole thing.
            
            In layman's terms, there's an argument that Shigaraki simply can't kill Mahito due to not having the specific exclusive power necessary to do so, meaning he'd only be able to stall the inevitable as Mahito wears him now.

@Daddy-Mikasa it’s characters like that that make me glad people make rewrites and/or alt ending of specific episodes. To where characters like her and Bendy get what’s coming 

@MLPFan001 I just usually blame this on bad writing. It’s the same as how in Miraculous Ladybug, you got this Lyla character who is a compulsive liar that ruined Marinette’s life and for some odd reason, people always seems to buy Lyla’s lies. 

@MLPFan001 Damn, that's surprising. I'm so used to Dragon Ball having at least a hundred or so episodes. Even GT had, like, sixty episodes.
            
            Pretty bizzare that an installment in the Dragon Ball series has exactly twenty episodes in comparison to DB, DBZ, DBGT, and DBS.

            SSJ3 Vegeta you can argue that Vegeta never uses it because of how much energy it drains from the user 

@MLPFan001 I mean in GT it was technically Vegeta who needed Bulma's help to reach SSJ4 whereas Goku became a Golden Oozaru before gaining SSJ4. But other than that, HELL YEAH!

@MLPFan001 Yeah, I thought so. Still, wonder what they plan to do with SSJ4 after Gomah's defeated and the Z-Warriors return to Earth...
