Here's the question of the week:

❝If your moods were a coffee flavor, what would they be?❞

We look forward to your coffeelicious answers!

@CoffeeCommunity Pumpkin spice pecan mocha because people call me complicated. I could also say I'm black coffee... bitter.

@CoffeeCommunity It would be a unique flavor I'd call Razzle Dazzle! Taste is some cappuccino, marshmallow or whip cream/ice/ nuts all mixed with humor!

@CoffeeCommunity, I make my coffee at home so I don't really spend money of it but once a month, if at all. My dad provides the coffee and I make it in the mornings.

@CoffeeCommunity Truly the duality of man. I'd personally have to say the coffee. Because I have other breaks in my day, so the coffee make that one break special

@CoffeeCommunity I'd say the coffee, don't like chatting with people. I'll say a brief hello and other small talk, but if it's gossip ... I'm gone! LOL

@CoffeeCommunity I'd rather make coffee at home because I could make it the way I want it, plus it's cheaper and no waiting in line or mispronouncing your name. Or someone accidentally getting your drink!

@CoffeeCommunity I'd rather be able to make coffee shop coffee at home. XD

No, but really, coffee shop. It's a nice splurge every so often, and drinking something fancier than what I can make is also a nice treat.

Hey, Coffee Enthusiasts!

This week's type poem is Limerick. Limericks follow a strict rhyme scheme of AABBA, where the third and fourth lines are shorter than the rest of the lines in the poem. The content of limericks is usually humorous, and the whole poem is only one stanza.

The prompt is "Valentine's Day gone wrong."

The date was good on first glance,
It was like a middle school dance.
            But even dancing slow,
            I broke every toe.
She'll be sure to reject my advance.

*I've got a whole book of these lol

I've arrived at our favorite place
We've been looking forward to this for days
But it's her look that tells
            She's already with somebody else
Then tears ran down my disheartened face

@CoffeeCommunity
            the rare appearance
            of a dazzling smile
            his americano met her macchiato
            the lingering scent of coffee

            half-empty; half-full
            she talked, he listened

            words not yet spoken
            lingering within the air
            another cup pf coffee
            the beverage of her choice
            just an excuse needed
            to linger for longer

            one cup meant for him
            hers lays untouched
            as her voice resonates
            he takes a slow sip
his smile hidden behind a cup
            hers freely making
            yet another appearance

@CoffeeCommunity The door chimes as you step in,
a soft breeze carrying the scent of roasted beans,
the warmth of conversation hanging like fog.

We sit, not yet sure where to place our words,
            but the silence feels comfortable,
a gentle hum beneath our laughter.

            You stir your coffee,
the steam curling like a whispered secret.

Outside, the world moves too fast,
            but here, time lingers—
            each sip, each glance,
an unspoken promise we don’t need to rush to understand.

@CoffeeCommunity A tiny sip of foaming warmth,
            All creamy white and steamy,
At my cafe, my favorite haunt,
Where I saw my beau so dreamy.
It was an impromptu first date,
            Our orders got mixed up,
            My macchiato was his fate,
            His cappuccino my cup.
After a plate of macarons sweet,
            And jokes of our encounter,
            We agreed to another meet,
And left hand in hand in a saunter.

@CoffeeCommunity Any ice coffee will do the trick for me. Had that in college, because it would wake me up as I took morning courses. Morning classes don't have a lot of students (at least the courses I took, since not everyone is an early bird! LOL)

@CoffeeCommunity - Jamaican Blue Mountain, which is a light-to-medium roast when my husband and I purchase it from Boca Java.
