i’m all for being inspiration for authors notes and layouts but plots and writing is a little bit of crossing a boundary for me unfortunately. i won’t be calling out names or anything because i’m sure the person knows who they are, but i do not follow or interact with them — if your excuse for me is “there’s only so much to do with this fandom” i won’t accept it.
          
          and if you had not known of the issues with this fandom in it’s entirety prior to reading my own books, then please don’t write an authors note that is verbatim written by me!! 
          
          my whole book is about indigenous people reclaiming their power and for it to be STOLEN … a little on the nose, no?

such a lame excuse, there’s so much to do with the fandom, people have been writing for it for over a decade. and if you can’t think of something original and creative, then just don’t write anything. i’m so sorry this is happening paloma </3

an absolutely wild thing to both say and do. the whole point of fanfiction is taking the source material and diverging from it. bringing your own originality. saying “there’s only so much you can do with a fandom” is such a weak excuse when creativity is literally the foundation of this space. i’m so sorry that you keep getting screwed over with your work paloma specially knowing how much it means to you ♥️
